Ford Mobility Program
Living with a health condition or physical disability shouldn't limit your mobility. The Ford Mobility Motoring Program is designed to extend your abilities, allowing you to enhance your personal independence. At Ford of Canada, we are committed to understanding and supporting individuals with unique mobility needs.
Program Details
When you purchase or lease a new Ford of Canada vehicle, you may be eligible to receive up to $1,000 toward the installation of adaptive driving aids or mobility assistance equipment.
- Eligibility modifications and equipment include:
- Wheelchair lifts or other lift equipment
- Hand or other driving controls
- The Early Alert Response System (EARS) for the hearing impaired
All modifications or equipment are subject to the prior approval of Ford of Canada. This is a special limited-time offer. See your local Ford of Canada Dealer or call the Ford Mobility Centre for additional details. Vehicle modifications must be completed within six months of vehicle delivery. Eligible customers include Canadian residents who are physically challenged as certified by a doctor's note or government certificate.
Program Guidelines
Major structural vehicle modifications to accommodate the installation of a wheelchair lift or ramp MUST be completed by a Ford Authorized Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) to be eligible for reimbursement. Raised roof and lowered floor conversions alone do not meet the eligibility requirements. Documentation must show that mobility-adaptive equipment (such as a wheelchair lift, ramp, or adaptive controls) was installed on the vehicle.
In order to ensure that our customers' vehicle modifications are completed by quality-focused Mobility Dealers, the modifiers must be able to prove certification or provide their National Safety Mark from Transport Canada. All modified vehicles must be compliant with all Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Adaptive equipment is defined as devices that make it easier for persons with permanent physical disabilities to drive or be transported in a vehicle. For more information about adaptive equipment, please see the Adaptive Equipment Eligibility page.
