Security Features

Helping drivers protect themselves and their investment.

Vehicle security has come a long way. And we've been on the cutting edge since the beginning. Take a look at some of our available vehicle security features.

  • Autolamp On/Off Delay System – provides illumination when leaving the vehicle in a dark area. It can be programmed to keep the headlamps on up to three minutes after the ignition is turned off
  • Autolock – automatically locks doors when all doors and the liftgate (if equipped), are closed and the vehicle is in motion
  • Remote Keyless Entry – allows a driver to lock or unlock a vehicle's doors with a single button press. It also contains a panic alarm button which when pressed will honk the horn and flash the lights for up to two-and-a-half minutes to signal an emergency
  • SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft Immobilizer System – uses an electronically coded ignition key with billions of possible codes to start the vehicle which helps protect against drive-away theft
  • SmartLock™ – unlocks the driver's door automatically if you use your remote to lock the doors while the key is still in the ignition, preventing an embarrassing or hazardous lock out
  • Reverse Sensing System – optional system that warns the driver of certain objects in the vehicle's path by emitting a series of beeps inside the cabin while backing up
  • Emergency Trunk Release System – uses a special cable-operated release to help prevent people from getting trapped inside the trunk
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) – uses a tire pressure sensor mounted to the wheel to sense temperature-based pressure loss and sends pressure information to the vehicle's onboard computer. The computer illuminates a warning light and sounds an audible tone when tire pressure is significantly under or over inflated
