Q: Who qualifies for the Mobility Program?
A: You are eligible for the Mobility Program if you are a Canadian resident and have obtained the necessary medical certification which details your physically challenged condition. You must provide a certificate or note signed by a recognized medical professional and/or practitioner.
Q: Where do I apply?
A: You can apply for this program at any Ford of Canada dealership. Your local Ford of Canada dealer will be able to assist you in selecting the vehicle that best suits your needs and will provide you with all the necessary documents to take advantage of benefits associated with the program.
Q: What types of adaptive driving aids or mobility assistance equipment are eligible?
A: Eligible aids and equipment include:
- Wheelchair lifts or other lift equipment
- Hand or other driving controls
- Early Alert Response System (EARS) for the hearing impaired
All other modifications or equipment are subject to the prior approval of Ford of Canada.
Q: Does this reimbursement apply to running boards?
A: No. After-market running boards and all other factory installed optional equipment do not qualify for the Ford Mobility program.
Q: What is the deadline for this program?
A: You must ensure that all vehicle modifications are complete within six months of vehicle delivery.
Q: Can I apply the Ford Mobility rebate to a used vehicle?
A: No. The Ford Mobility program is only applicable on new vehicles.
